Primer
The Primer is used to generate time-limited Authenticator Secrets to seed an Authenticator.
Introduction
An Authenticator requires time-limited, unique Authenticator Secret to register with the Corsha DLN. The Primer is a simple service that can be used to generate one or more Authenticator Secrets. The Primer requires a Primer Secret that you generate in the Console.
The Primer can be run via Docker, in Kubernetes via Helm, or as a native, static binary
Primer Secrets
Since the Primer is an important part of the process to bootstrap an Authenticator, the Primer needs to authenticate to the Customer Control Plane to request fresh Authenticator Secrets. In order to do so, the Primer uses a Primer Secret as part of its MFA credentials. You can create a Primer Secret in the Console and then use this to automatically request Authenticator Secrets.
Primer secrets facilitate, for example, the integration of Corsha’s solution with an enterprise’s continuous integration/continuous deployment (CICD) system. The Primer seeds Machine Authenticators so that they can begin streaming and protect your machine-to-machine API calls.
