Connecting to Identity Sources

Connect external identity providers to the Console to automatically import and synchronize machine identities from cloud platforms.

Learn More

For detailed information about identity source capabilities, how they work, and best practices, see Identity Sources Integration Documentation.

Accessing Identity Sources

  1. Navigate to the Identity Sources page in the Console
  2. Scroll down to the Cloud Identity Sources section
  3. Click the New Connection button

Cloud Identity Sources Section

Adding a Connection

Step 1: Choose Your Provider

Select your cloud identity provider:

Choose Identity Source Dialog

  • Azure - For Azure Entra ID integration
  • Amazon Cognito - For AWS Cognito User Pool integration

Step 2: Configure the Connection

Follow the provider-specific configuration guide:

Each guide includes:

  • Required credentials and where to find them
  • Permission setup
  • Connection testing
  • Synchronization settings

Viewing Imported Identities

After connecting an identity source:

Filter by Identity Source

  1. Navigate to Machine Identities
  2. Use the Identity Source filter to view machines from specific providers
  3. Verify expected identities are appearing

Monitor Synchronization

Check the Identity Sources page to monitor:

  • Assets Synced: Total machines imported from the source
  • Machine Identities Mapped: Successfully mapped identities
  • Last Sync: Most recent synchronization timestamp

Organizing Imported Identities

Create machine groups to organize imported identities:

  • Group by cloud provider (Azure, AWS)
  • Group by application type or function
  • Group by environment (production, staging, development)
