Machine Group Details Page

The Machine Group Details page provides comprehensive information about a specific machine group, including its member machines, policies, activity, and connections to identity sources.

Accessing Group Details​

From the Machine Groups page, click on any group name to view its details page.

Page Overview​

Stat Cards​

The page displays three summary cards:

  1. Machines in Group: Total number of machine identities in this group
  2. Number of Policies: Count of policies applied to this group
  3. Violations: Number of policy or security violations for this group

Overview Tab​

The Overview tab contains detailed information about the group and its members.

Machine Group Activity​

Shows timeline information:

  • Created On: Date and time when the group was created
  • Last Sync Time: For groups connected to identity sources (like Microsoft Entra ID), displays when machines were last synchronized from the source

Machine Group Details​

Displays configuration and connection information:

  • Identity Source Connection: Link to the identity source this group is connected to (e.g., Entra ID connection)
  • Gatekeeper: Link to the associated Gatekeeper, if this group is assigned to a specific Gatekeeper
  • Description: Editable description field documenting the group's purpose or membership criteria

To edit the description:

  1. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
  2. Update the description in the modal
  3. Click Save

Machines in Group​

A table listing all machine identities currently assigned to this group, showing:

  • Machine name
  • Current status (Running, Halted, Terminated)
  • Last activity
  • Associated information

You can click on any machine name to view its detailed information on the Machine Details page.

Policies Tab​

The Policies tab displays Scheduled Access Policies applied to this group.

Scheduled Access Policy Information​

For each policy, you'll see:

  • Description: What the policy does and when it applies
  • Created: Date and time the policy was created
  • Date Last Triggered: When the policy was most recently activated (N/A if never triggered)
  • Mode: The policy type (e.g., Allow, Block, Time-based access)
  • Times Triggered: Total count of how many times this policy has been activated

Managing Policies​

You can create, edit, or delete scheduled access policies directly from this tab:

  • Create Policy: Click the button to define new time-based or scheduled access rules
  • Edit Policy: Click the edit icon next to an existing policy
  • Delete Policy: Click the delete icon and confirm removal

Managing Group Membership​

Adding Machines to the Group​

Machines are added to groups in several ways:

  1. During machine creation: Assign machines to a group when creating them
  2. From the Machine Details page: Change a machine's group assignment
  3. Through identity source sync: Machines automatically assigned based on import rules (for Entra ID and other integrations)

Removing Machines from the Group​

To remove a machine from the group:

  1. Navigate to the machine's Details page from the Machines in Group table
  2. Update the machine's group assignment to a different group or remove it

Removing a machine from a group does not delete the machine identity—it simply unassigns it from this group.
