Machine Identity Overview
The Console gives you the ability to monitor and manage trusted machines with fine granularity either as individual machines or within Machine Groups.
Manage Machines
To manage machines, a user will click on the "Machines" icon on the left taskbar of the Console and will select "Machines".
You can view Recent Activity for a machine, it's current status, and more through the 'Machines' page.

The Machine Detail page allows a user to HALT, RESUME, and ROTATE a machine. Halting a machine prevents it from accessing protected resources: for Authenticator-based deployments, this suspends credential generation; for agentless and firewall mode deployments, this blocks all traffic from the machine. Resuming a machine restores access. Rotating a machine updates its DLN credentials.

Creating a Machine with Authenticator
To create new machine identities with Authenticators for proxy mode, see the Creating Machines with Authenticators guide.
Controlling API Access for a Machine
Through the Machine Detail page, you can HALT, RESUME, and TERMINATE API Access for a Machine.

Rotating Credentials for a Machine
Through the Machine Detail page, you can also ROTATE DLN Credentials for a Machine. This will require a machine to generate new DLN Client certificates on next DLN communication. Once the rotation is finished, the machine will return to the "STATUS_RUNNING" state.
